one of the most ancient civilizations of Iran is the civilization of “Tepe Sialk” with the literal meaning of “Sialk Hill”. These hills were one of the most primitive settlements in the center of Iran, dating back to 7000 years ago. Many pottery artifacts as well as bronze and copper ones have been extracted from the excavations and have been shining in the national and international museums of the whole world. The traces of this civilization disappear in this region due to the invasions of different tribes. The discovery of silver coins in this region is the witness of Achaemenid and Seleucid traces. There has been no evidence from Parthian era but it is documented that Kashan was thriving during Sassanid Era.
Like other cities in the central city of Kashan, the climate of this city varies due to topographical bases. It is cold and temperate in the highland areas of the plains and hot in the foothills of the edge of the desert. The water of the mountainous villages springs from the springs and Qantas while the water of the villages located on the plains spring from Qanats.
